The Topping DX1 is an all-in-one desktop DAC and headphone amplifier featuring the sub-flagship AKM AK4493S chip from AKM's Velvet Sound lineup. Powered entirely via USB with no external adapter required, the DX1 delivers up to 280mW x2 of clean headphone power alongside a fixed-level RCA line output—making it equally at home driving IEMs, full-size headphones, or a desktop speaker system. With XMOS XU208 USB controller, native DSD256, PCM384 support, and a Discrete LNRD low-noise circuit, the DX1 punches well above its compact size and price.

• XMOS XU208 USB Controller: Industry-trusted USB controller ensures plug-and-play compatibility with Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Also supports Thesycon custom ASIO driver for maximum source fidelity.
• USB-Powered, No Adapter Needed: A single USB cable handles both power and data. The Discrete LNRD (Low Noise Reference Driver) circuit filters USB 5V noise to deliver an ultra-clean power supply—DAC noise below 2.0μV, AMP noise below 1.0μV.
• 280mW x2 Headphone Output: Substantial power for a bus-powered device. Drives a wide range of headphones from sensitive IEMs to demanding full-size cans. Two gain settings expand headphone compatibility further.
• Dual Headphone Jacks: Both 6.35mm (1/4") and 3.5mm (1/8") outputs on the front panel for maximum flexibility—no adapter required.
• Fixed RCA Line Output: Connect directly to a power amplifier or active speakers. Note: line out volume is fixed at maximum; the headphone amp and line out operate simultaneously.
