Founded in Brighton, UK, in 1979, ONIX quickly established itself with classic amplifiers like the OA20 and OA21, defining its signature "black gold" aesthetic and warm, mellow British sound.

Around the millennium, under the guidance of Taiwanese audio expert Mr. Pu Hsao Hsiung, ONIX shifted its focus to Asia. While retaining its core musicality, the brand refined its sound, adding enhanced clarity and superior soundstage capabilities, exemplified by the acclaimed Tradition series which gained global recognition in the Hi-End two-channel market.

In 2023, ONIX launched the Horizon series, expanding its forty-year legacy into the personal audio space. With innovative products like the Alpha XI1, Overture XM5, Waltz XM10, Mystic XP1, and the category-blurring Miracle, alongside traditional offerings like the XST20 transport, ONIX continues its journey.
