Bring your high-resolution music library with you. The HiBy RS2 Gen 2 combines HiBy's in-house Darwin audio architecture, R2R conversion and audio-focused HiByOS in a compact player finished in dark green aluminum alloy.
Developed in-house by HiBy, the Darwin architecture uses a new FPGA digital engine with more than 35,000 logic units and 40 DSPs. It supports adjustable pure FIR filtering, multiple Darwin filters and harmonic controls for flexible sound processing. HiBy states that this architecture is also used in its RS8 Gen 2 flagship player.
Two dedicated audio crystal oscillators operate at 45.158 MHz and 49.152 MHz. The supplied specification lists phase noise as low as -140 dBc/Hz at a 1 kHz offset. The R2R digital-to-analog conversion circuit is designed to deliver a natural, detailed presentation; HiBy reports THD+N below 0.0008%.
A four-stage OPA1612 signal path works with four OPA1622 headphone amplifier chips in a fully balanced design, supporting transient response and controlled drive for headphones and earphones.
The Linux-based HiByOS is designed around audio playback. The X1600E dual-core processor supports responsive navigation, and the 3.55-inch display has a 480 × 800 resolution. Two microSD/TF card slots support up to 4 TB of total storage expansion (2 TB per slot, as specified).
