For years, MUSICIAN has built its reputation on one discipline: decoding. The MUSICIAN Aquarius DAC established the brand as a serious contender in the R2R space — a true balanced, discrete design with a 32-bit filter resolution that earned the trust of listeners who care deeply about what happens between the file and the sound.
But decoding is only half the story.
Today, MUSICIAN enters a new chapter. The GEMINI Post-Stage Power Amplifier is the brand's first foray into amplification — and it arrives not as a tentative first step, but as a fully realized flagship statement.

Built Without Compromise
The GEMINI is a Class AB, true balanced, fully discrete power amplifier. Every design decision reflects a single priority: get out of the way of the music.
Output power is rated conservatively, measured under real-world operating conditions — not lab-optimized peak figures. The result: 120W RMS per channel at 8Ω, 220W RMS per channel at 4Ω, with genuine headroom to spare when music gets complex and dynamic.
Each channel is equipped with four pairs of high-current output transistors, carefully selected to balance driving power, linearity, and thermal stability. This translates directly to what you hear: bass that is tight and controlled, a midrange that feels dense and present, and high frequencies that extend smoothly without fatigue.
Frequency response spans 10Hz to 80kHz (±2dB) — well beyond the audible range, ensuring phase integrity and transient accuracy throughout the entire spectrum.

The Natural Partner for Aquarius
The GEMINI accepts a single XLR balanced input — the same balanced output that the MUSICIAN Aquarius DAC was designed to deliver. Pairing the two creates a fully balanced signal path from digital source to speaker binding post, with no unnecessary conversion, no added noise floor, and no compromise in signal integrity.
This is what a complete signal chain looks like when it's designed by the same hands, with the same philosophy.
A New Direction, The Same Standard
MUSICIAN did not rush into amplification. The GEMINI reflects the same engineering discipline that defined the Aquarius — conservative specifications, honest measurements, and a refusal to chase marketing numbers at the expense of real-world performance.
For those who have already built their system around the Aquarius, the GEMINI is the missing piece. For those building from scratch, it is a compelling reason to start here.

I a proud owner of a few Musician projects and am always trying to get the most out or my equipment, it’s all about the synergistic transformation, I am constantly swapping around the gear. Bluesound x- to Musician Draco – to either Rogue Audio Sphinx V3 with Psvane Art series 12au7s or Musician Monoceros preamp or Backert Labs preamp to Rogue Audio Stereo 100 tube power amp or Dartzeel nh108 clone AliExpress Trans audio D9 to a pair of Musician Knight 1V1, still seeking some more magic, from rhe power amplifier end. Knights have more to give been looking for an affordable option that has a intoxicating mid range with an eerie holographic sound stage and airy top end that’s never to forward or shrill even with not so great recordings but the low end needs to be tight and strong to lay down the foundation that is never too lean and keeps unfolding more nuances with out ever losing it musicality.
