The SHANLING EM5 is a desktop digital music player that can also be used as a DAC/AMP for high-end headphones. It has a range of different connectors, including balanced XLR and 4.4mm. It can also be used as a DAC and pre-amplifier when combined with a separate power amplifier or active speakers. The EM5 was designed as a DAC/AMP for high-end headphones with wireless and wired streaming capability.
The SHANLING EM5 features an AK4493 chip and supports MQA streaming. It has a PCM384 and DSD512 decoding capability.
EM5 adopts the same custom Android system as M30, which has a high degree of freedom and openness that traditional desktop phones do not have. The system has built-in HiFi cloud music library, QQ Music, Tidal and other streaming software,like the spotify, so you can enjoy a huge amount of music resources after accessing the network. With the Android system, EM5 can be used alone or as a digital turntable, enjoying the convenience and openness of streaming media like never before.
In addition to Android, EM5 supports all kinds of streaming media. With dual-band WiFi + wired network, two-way Bluetooth, DLNA, NAS, AirPlay, etc., the EM5 will play the role of an all-around desktop Android player with a new attitude in today's highly diversified and convenient streaming media.
As a desktop all-rounder, Shanling has positioned it for multi-scene desktop use from the very beginning of the design process, and therefore has paid a lot of attention to the front and rear panel design and jack selection.
