The FiiO LL-RD 2024 headphone upgrade cable is designed for audiophiles seeking the best in audio quality. It utilizes high-end, high-purity monocrystalline silver as its conductor material, enhancing sensitivity to high-frequency frequencies, resulting in faster signal transmission and improved audio resolution. The end result is a detailed yet pleasant sound.
Inside this cable lies one strand of 44 wires and three strands of 18 wires each made of silver-plated pure copper, all protected by an HDPE insulation layer. These wires feature low resistance and stronger conductivity compared to typical copper wires, ensuring more stable transmission of digital signals. The inner sheath is made of highly elastic 95P imitation silicone PVC, which helps protect the inner copper wires and makes the cable softer and resistant against breakage from bending.
To better harness the high-resolution characteristics of monocrystalline silver, the LL-RD 2024 is coaxially braided. Each of the 4 main strands contains 6 smaller strands made of 14 wires each. Additionally, a special smaller strand composed of 16 wires is added to each of the main strands, resulting in positive and negative poles of 200 cores in total per main strand. The use of high-purity silver as the conductor material enhances conductivity, improving soundstage and resolution while being both transparent and smooth. Furthermore, a similar braiding technique with the same core count is also used for the shielding layer. This layer serves to isolate the wires from external noise, ensuring a balanced and natural sound.
The LL-RD 2024 cable features a quality drawn textured yarn (DTY) outer sheath. This ensures the cable features a balance of flexibility and durability worthy of high-end headphone cables. With a distinct woven pattern and a luxurious feel, the cable exudes quality. The swappable 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs allow for quick and convenient switching to match the device you are listening from.
