The J.C Acoustics UDP-5AKM is a flagship desktop DAC and headphone amplifier built around the AK4191 + AK4499EXEQ chipset—AKM's most advanced delta-sigma DAC pairing. Driven by an XMOS XU316 USB controller and a Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.4 module supporting aptX Adaptive and LDAC, the UDP-5AKM decodes PCM up to 768kHz / 32-bit and native DSD512. Its fully discrete balanced amplifier stage delivers up to 16,000mW per channel at 16Ω (balanced), with a noise floor below 5μV and THD+N under 0.0003%—making it equally capable as a reference headphone amplifier and a high-output balanced preamplifier.
