FiiO KA17 is a portable USB audio decoder and amplifier designed to provide users with a high quality audio experience. It uses ESS's dual-channel flagship DAC ES9069Q and XMOS 16-core XU316 chip to support hard solutions up to 768kHz/32bit and DSD512, ensuring extreme purity of audio output. KA17 also has a unique plane-machine mode, through the independent Type-C power supply interface, can achieve stronger thrust and more complete dynamic performance. In addition, it also has a 0.91 inch dot matrix display and supports bilingual menu display in English and Chinese, providing users with a more intuitive operation interface.

Technical specifications and performance

The hardware configuration of the KA17 is a luxury level, it uses the new 4-way full balance + 8-way OP-amp parallel THX AAA 78+ ear amplifier architecture, making the balanced output power up to 650mW+650mW, and the single-port output power is 270mW+270mW, enough to handle most headphones. In D.ODE mode, these values are further improved, especially the output power of the balance port can reach 649mW, almost equivalent to some desktop devices. KA17 also uses the third-generation LDO voltage regulation technology to ensure the power supply stability of the audio part.

User experience

KA17 offers a wide range of customization options, including the PEQ adjustment function, which allows users to fine-tune the frequency through the adjustment algorithm and interface developed by Feiao. In addition, the KA17 also supports a variety of audio formats and sampling rates, which can be adapted to different audio source needs. It has been designed with user convenience in mind, providing an interface that is easy to understand and operate, as well as high-quality accessories, including USB Type-C to USB A converter heads and a leather case in the same color.

Additional characteristic

The KA17 also has some additional features, such as support for SPDIF digital output, which allows it to be used as a decoder turntable to connect external digital speakers or other audio devices. It also has an ambient light display window, which increases the ornamental value of the device.
