We typically use a phone or computer as a music source, outputting the signal to a DAC & Amplifier via a USB cable. The TC09BC answers the question of whether a cable matters at this stage — with a clear and resounding yes. Just as with the Nyx earphone cable, the improvement offered by the TC09BC is obvious and immediate.
The data conductors use high-purity Litz pure silver wire (2×7/0.14mm, 26.7AWG), chosen specifically for its superior conductivity and signal transmission characteristics. Litz construction minimizes skin effect losses at high frequencies, ensuring that every bit of digital audio data arrives at your DAC intact and uncorrupted.
The TC09BC features a Starquad cable structure with independent shielding for both the power and data sections. The data part uses a combination of Litz Oxygen-Free Copper and Litz Silver-Plated LCOFC shielding, while the power conductors are similarly shielded to prevent any cross-contamination between power and signal — eliminating noise at the source.
The inner insulation uses NUC High Precision Chemical Foam PE sourced from Japan, chosen for its exceptional dielectric properties. The outer jacket is made from High Transparency Soft Flex PVC from the USA, providing both durability and a premium tactile feel in daily use.
