The SMSL SU-1 DSP combines an AKM AK4493S DAC with 32-band parametric equalization in a compact USB-powered enclosure. Building on the original SU-1, this DSP-equipped model adds detailed sound customization and EQ memory alongside high-resolution PCM and DSD decoding.
The DSP core supports 32-band parametric equalization, letting you tailor frequency response to your listening preferences and the characteristics of your connected audio system. The XMOS XU-316 handles digital audio processing with support for PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 decoding. These maximum supported formats depend on a compatible source, connection, playback software and configuration; they do not increase the resolution of the original recording.
Two high-precision femtosecond crystal oscillators with low phase noise provide the clock reference for digital conversion. This design is intended to minimize timing jitter and support stable signal processing.
