The Softears EDGE is the inaugural release of the "LS" (Lifestyle Listen) series — a bold declaration that audiophile-grade sound and architectural beauty are not mutually exclusive. Designed in collaboration with White River Design Studio, EDGE draws its industrial identity from the pure functionality of the Sigma BF mirrorless camera: angular, purposeful, and uncompromising.
In an industry dominated by soft curves, EDGE carves a path less traveled: bold angularity. Crafted from CNC-machined titanium alloy, every proportion has been obsessed over with uncompromising precision. EDGE utilizes the purest geometric elements to construct a commanding industrial aesthetic — more than a pair of in-ear monitors, it is a miniature monument of modernist architecture.
Its clean, minimalist lines outline a uniquely refined beauty. This mirrors Softears’ tuning philosophy: stripping away the superfluous to reveal the authentic, unembellished essence of sound. Beauty, uncompromised.
In acoustic engineering, there is a notorious “seesaw effect”: pursuing an enveloping low-frequency atmosphere often dictates a sacrifice in midrange clarity. The result is vocals that feel congested and veiled, overshadowed by the bass. EDGE was engineered to defy this very physical limitation.
A specially engineered 11mm high-performance dynamic driver forms the acoustic heart of EDGE, delivering commanding low-frequency authority and natural midrange presence.
The true technological core lies in the Labyrinth Acoustic Structure within the rear chamber. This intricate geometry precisely resonates with and absorbs redundant low-mid frequencies, delineating the boundary between bass and midrange with surgical precision.
EDGE achieves the elusive “best of both worlds” for dynamic drivers. A new tariff system will take effect across all 27 EU member states starting 1 July 2026.
